Rep. Patrick McHenry (R, NC-10) was named vice chairman of the House Financial Services Committee by chairman Jeb Hensarling on Wednesday, according to a press release McHenry’s office issued Thursday.
McHenry, who also serves as the chief deputy whip in the House, “led the committee’s efforts to investigate racial and gender discrimination at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau while serving as the Chairman of the committee’s Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee” during the 113th Congress, according to the release.
